Can We Meet

Can We Meet and personal assistants: a tool for PAs, not a replacement

A human personal assistant brings judgement, relationships, discretion and the ability to pick up the phone, which software cannot replace. Can We Meet takes on the mechanical part of arranging meetings: collecting replies, working out overlaps and coordinating across calendars, so a PA spends less time chasing.

What a PA does that software cannot

Scheduling appointments and arranging meetings are listed among the typical duties of secretaries and administrative assistants in the US Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational profile. But the hard part is rarely the arithmetic of overlapping times. It is knowing which meeting matters most, which attendee will move, when to call rather than email, and what must stay confidential.

  • Prioritising between competing requests using knowledge of the business.
  • Managing relationships and tone with senior or external contacts.
  • Handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Resolving conflicts by phone or in person.

Delegation, permissions and employer policy

A PA using Can We Meet signs in with their own account and sets up meetings on behalf of their principal. Connect a calendar only where you have permission, and follow your employer's rules on calendar access and outside apps. If the principal's work diary cannot be connected, describe their known commitments instead and treat the result as provisional.

Can We Meet only checks calendars you have connected and allowed. If a work diary cannot be connected, those times are treated as unknown, not free, and the organiser confirms the final time. It is not an automatic booking service that can see everyone's diary.

Use Can We Meet with your AI assistant

Many PAs already use an AI assistant for drafting and research. With the Can We Meet connector, the same assistant can set up a meeting, fetch the invite link and summarise who has replied, while the PA decides what to send and which time to confirm.

Can We Meet offers an MCP connector, so a supported AI assistant can start a meeting, fetch the invite link, check replies and confirm a time you choose, all through your own signed-in account. Which assistants can use it depends on each platform and on your plan or organisation settings, so check the connect page for current, step-by-step instructions.

See Can We Meet for assistants for PA-specific workflows.

You can use Can We Meet directly in your browser at canwemeet.me, without connecting another AI assistant. Check the site for supported app availability.

Frequently asked questions

Will Can We Meet replace my assistant?

No. It handles reply collection and overlap. Judgement, priorities and relationships stay with the person.

Can a PA arrange meetings for someone else?

Yes. The PA organises from their own account and describes the principal's availability or connects calendars they are permitted to use.

How much time will it save?

We do not publish a figure. It depends on how many people are involved and how they reply.
