Can We Meet

Can We Meet vs Calendly: complex group meetings versus bookable appointments

Calendly is excellent for bookable appointments and also offers meeting polls for groups. Can We Meet suits group meetings where people's constraints are easier to say than to tick: each invitee replies in plain words, and the organiser's own context and missing calendars are taken into account.

How they compare

Both products help groups coordinate. Calendly's meeting polls let you propose up to 40 time slots to up to 40 participants, and invitees can vote without a Calendly account, according to Calendly's help centre as of 1 November 2026.

When Calendly is the better choice

  • Clients or prospects booking time with you, one at a time, from a public page.
  • Teams that need routing, round-robin or payment collection at booking.
  • Group meetings where you already know the slots to propose and a poll is enough.

When Can We Meet fits better

  • Several people with recurring rules, like "I collect the kids at 3:15 on Wednesdays".
  • You do not want to guess slots in advance and then send a second poll.
  • Part of your own week is not in any calendar, or your work diary cannot be connected.
An invitee reply
“Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm in London so lunchtime is out. Any other weekday afternoon is fine.”

Use Can We Meet with your AI assistant

You can also run the whole thing from an AI assistant: ask it to start the meeting, get the link, and later tell you who has replied and which times work.

Can We Meet offers an MCP connector, so a supported AI assistant can start a meeting, fetch the invite link, check replies and confirm a time you choose, all through your own signed-in account. Which assistants can use it depends on each platform and on your plan or organisation settings, so check the connect page for current, step-by-step instructions.

You can use Can We Meet directly in your browser at canwemeet.me, without connecting another AI assistant. Check the site for supported app availability.

Privacy and calendars

Can We Meet only checks calendars you have connected and allowed. If a work diary cannot be connected, those times are treated as unknown, not free, and the organiser confirms the final time. It is not an automatic booking service that can see everyone's diary.
